We are incredibly fortunate to have an array of exceptionally talented individuals in close proximity to us. We’ve curated a selection of remarkable suppliers who craft exquisite artisanal products. Allow me to provide a glimpse into the work of a few of them. Take, for instance, Eleanor, whose expertise lies in baking impeccably fresh cakes and puddings, alongside creating delectable chutneys and jams.
Working from her idyllic country cottage, she tends to geese, goats, ducks, and even two alpacas! Her cottage features a hatch opening onto the road, where she shares her creations with passersby. Then there’s Eileen, a skilled artisan who initially crafted jewelry for personal enjoyment but soon found herself commissioned by friends and family, ultimately establishing her own brand. Her affection for natural materials shines through her use of sterling silver, gold, Freshwater Pearls, Swarovski, and Crystals.
The handmade candles stem from the creative endeavor of two stay-at-home moms who initiated this venture to maintain their sanity during the challenging times of COVID. Using natural plant wax, they pour each candle by hand. Barry, our dedicated beekeeper, harvests honey from 20 hives located around East Cork. His profound knowledge of bees is evident in his craft. Lastly, our chocolatiers infuse immense care and dedication into every handmade treat they produce.
